Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000 base salary + equity
HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled AI / Software Engineer (Senior or Staff level) to join one of our valued client partners. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this advanced engineering role within an AI-driven enterprise technology environment.
Position Overview
This engineering role focuses on building foundational infrastructure that powers advanced AI systems designed to automate complex operational workflows across multiple business systems. The position requires an engineer who approaches problems through systems thinking and is comfortable owning technical challenges that span architecture, infrastructure, and product functionality.
The engineer will work closely with leadership and product stakeholders to develop scalable backend systems, AI-powered integrations, and intelligent automation capabilities that connect fragmented software environments used by enterprise customers.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong ability to design distributed systems, solve complex data reconciliation challenges, and build production-grade infrastructure that supports high reliability and scalability.
Core Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend architecture supporting AI-powered automation platforms

Build infrastructure that enables reliable integrations across multiple business software systems

Develop intelligent data reconciliation systems that resolve inconsistencies across operational and financial datasets

Implement systems that support continuous financial reporting and automated operational workflows

Architect natural language-driven automation frameworks that translate user instructions into structured workflows

Design AI agent infrastructure capable of operating across multiple communication channels such as chat, email, SMS, and voice

Apply rigorous engineering practices related to testing, observability, deployment pipelines, and system reliability

Collaborate directly with leadership and product teams to align engineering decisions with platform objectives

Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on quality and ownership

Own projects from initial architecture through deployment and iterative improvements
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for interview:

6–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus

Demonstrated experience building production systems and scalable infrastructure

Strong background working in high-quality startup or scale-up environments

Experience designing and implementing distributed systems or complex data processing pipelines

Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python or TypeScript
-
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
-
Experience building full-stack applications with a backend emphasis
-
Demonstrated ability to independently drive technical projects from concept through deployment

Strong computer science foundation with rigorous coding experience

Stable employment history and clear career progression (candidates with jumpy resumes will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are highly preferred but not required:

Experience developing systems using Python, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, React, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Experience with frameworks such as Django or modern web backend architectures

Experience building AI-enabled infrastructure, automation systems, or agent frameworks

Familiarity with techniques such as entity resolution, fuzzy matching, and cross-system data reconciliation

Experience building integrations across multiple third-party software systems

Former startup founder or founding engineer experience

Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, ideally from a rigorous academic program

Demonstrated evidence of technical excellence such as contributions to high-performing engineering teams, competitive programming participation, or experience at selective engineering organizations
