MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing Copywriting - 80%
Under the direction and strategy of their manager, produce written work for CCA’s external marketing website, cca.edu, with a focus on academic pages, evergreen content, and homepage headlines
Work with faculty and subject-matter experts to distill complex concepts, ideas, and research into accessible, engaging copy
Contribute copy to enrollment materials, including the virtual tour, digital advertising campaigns (print, social, digital), print collateral, and email streams
Contribute copy to the social media editorial calendar in partnership with the Assistant Director of Content and Marketing
Research and relationship building -15%
Actively brainstorm and propose new ideas for CCA’s Content and Marketing Team
Collaborate closely with the Communications team to ensure alignment with CCA’s Editorial Style and Brand Guidelines
Conduct supplemental research to inform content development, including outreach to alumni, faculty, and students and collecting and organizing assets for our portfolio of projects.
Work across the institution to align content with institutional goals, mission, and brand
Follow digital trends and tactics, from social media to higher-education forums
Connect with students, faculty, and alumni to help tell their stories and represent their work in thoughtful, engaging ways
Project management - 5%
Organize work in Asana in conjunction with project schedules
Manage stakeholder communication, including project status
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1–3 years of experience with writing, preferably in an academic, cultural, or nonprofit setting
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, marketing, creative writing, communications, or other relevant discipline
Social media knowledge is preferred
Prior higher education experience is preferred but not required
Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
Experience following brand and editorial style guidelines
Digital content marketing and SEO experience
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The range for this position is $37.88 - $38.63/hour
CCA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including the choice of five medical plans, generous holiday, sick & vacation time, a retirement match and tuition remission. CCA covers an average of 91% of the medical plan cost for the employee only and an average of 82% for employees with dependents. POSITION DETAILS:
CCA considers a full-time work week to be 37.5 hours per week.
Work Mode: Hybrid
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm
This position is covered under the staff union collective bargaining agreement and will be required to contribute to union dues/agency fees.
