Dispatcher - Part Time (as needed for events)
Pay Rate: $34.02
The ideal candidate must be bilingual (English & Spanish) and have a flexible schedule, as hours may vary depending on event needs. Weekend availability is required.
Position Summary:
The Event Cleaning Staff Dispatcher serves as the central communication hub during events. This role is responsible for receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching janitorial service requests to ensure the arena remains clean, safe, and guestâready. The Event Cleaning Staff Dispatcher monitors event activity communicates with team leads, tracks task completion and helps maintain service standards throughout the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Request Management
- Monitor incoming requests from radio channels and event staff.
- Log and prioritize all cleaning and maintenance requests in real time.
- Dispatch janitorial staff to designated areas efficiently and effectively.
- Track completion of all assigned tasks to ensure timely resolution.
Event Support
- Maintain an active awareness of event timelines, highâtraffic moments, and potential cleanup needs.
- Coordinate with Floor Supervisors to anticipate staffing needs.
- Provide support during pre-event setup, live events, and post-event cleanup.
Communication
- Serve as the primary contact point for all janitorial-related requests during events.
- Communicate clearly via radio, phone, and internal messaging tools.
- Escalate issues to supervisors or building operations when necessary (e.g., spills requiring special equipment, plumbing issues, safety hazards).
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain records of requests, staff dispatches, and task completion.
- Assist with end-of-event reporting, including identifying patterns or recurring needs.
- Provide feedback on staffing performance and workflow improvements.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with arena policies.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately and coordinate the appropriate response.
- Ensure staff is following established protocols for chemical use and equipment handling.
Qualifications Required
- Previous experience in customer service, operations, or facilities-related role.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with work order or ticketing systems.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional during busy events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or event operations.
- Familiarity with radio communication procedures.
- Knowledge of large venue operations (arenas, stadiums, convention centers).
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work on-site during live events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to walk the arena as needed to inspect areas or verify completion of tasks.
- Work takes place in a dynamic environment with loud noise, large crowds, and constant activity.
