Overview of the role
You will take an active role in key financial processes, including month end close activities, reporting of key performance indicators, forecast planning, budgeting, and financial decision support for our William Sonoma Brand and key stakeholders. You will work in close partnership with business partners providing full financial support and applying business and analytical skills to ensure sound financial decisions are made.
Responsibilities
Supporting month-end close process, financial forecasting, and budgeting for our William Sonoma Brand through variance analysis, preparation of month-end accruals, and partnerships with key business partners.
Analyzing current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses. Providing strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based upon this analysis.
Assist in the preparation of Investment Review Powerpoint Decks by collaborating with Marketing business partners to ensure accurate representation of financial data.
Developing insightful financial presentations for Senior Management to concisely summarize performance and highlight key business components.
Build ad hoc financial analysis focused on expense efficiency, providing actionable insights and recommendations to business partners.
Criteria
3-5 years relevant work experience in a financial role
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related degree
Oracle and Essbase experience required
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; advanced financial modeling skills
Self-motivated, flexible, positive attitude, and intellectually curios.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; innovative, organized, thorough.
Strong ability to turn data into actionable insights
Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco office Monday - Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 annually. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
