About the Role

Do you want to design the future of how humans interact with AI? Then this role is for you.

We're looking for a Founding Designer to reimagine software creation for millions of people who have never coded before. You'll be designing entirely new interaction paradigms—how someone goes from "I have an idea" to "I have a working app" through conversation, gesture, and intuition.

What you'll do:

• Design groundbreaking user experiences that make AI feel like magic, not a chatbot

• Create interaction patterns for describing, iterating, and refining software through natural language

• Build design systems that scale from simple utility apps to complex multi-screen experiences

• Pioneer new visual languages for representing code concepts to non-technical users

• Shape how millions of creators will think about and build software

This isn't traditional product design. You'll be inventing new conventions for human-AI collaboration, designing interfaces that don't exist yet, and solving problems that have never been solved.

About You

• 4+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft and taste

• Experience designing for AI/ML products or complex creative tools (Figma, Canva, etc.)

• Deep intuition for what makes interfaces feel magical vs. frustrating

• Strong prototyping skills and comfort with ambiguous, 0-to-1 design challenges

• Obsession with user experience and the ability to think from first principles

• Experience with mobile-first design and cross-platform thinking

Bonus points if you have:

• Background in developer tools or no-code platforms

• Experience with generative AI interfaces or conversational UI

• Understanding of software development concepts (helpful for designing code generation UX)

Details

• Base Salary: $150,000 - $300,000 based on experience

• Equity: Significant equity package as a founding team member

• Location: In-person in San Francisco
