Job Title: Fullstack Software Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week)

Compensation: $140,000 – $190,000 + Equity

Job Summary

A fast-growing AI-driven company in the mortgage technology space is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join its core product team. This role focuses on building next-generation software that automates complex document review and underwriting processes. You will work closely with leadership, product, and machine learning teams to design and deliver scalable, high-impact features from end to end.

Key Responsibilities

Own full lifecycle development from database design to frontend UI delivery

Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex AI-driven decisions

Design and implement scalable backend systems using Go and PostgreSQL

Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate AI models into the core platform

Ensure high performance, availability, and scalability across large data sets

Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, documentation, and observability

Improve system monitoring, logging, and overall production stability

Partner cross-functionally with product and design teams to deliver user-focused solutions

Must-Haves / Requirements Summary

4+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment

Strong backend development experience with Go, Java, C++, or similar

Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and data modeling

Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks

Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, S3)

Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments

Proven ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results end-to-end

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python in data or machine learning environments (pandas, numpy)

Background in fintech, mortgage technology, or workflow automation platforms

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi

Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
