Part-Time College Counseling Teacher Responsibilities Include:

  • Teach two sections of College Counseling 12, a course dedicated to assisting first semester seniors through the college application process, in the fall semester.
  • Teach two sections of College Counseling 11, a course dedicated to preparing juniors for the college application process, in the spring semester.
  • Collaborate with the college counseling team to counsel Gateway students, develop curriculum, and improve the college counseling program for students and families. 

Compensation Range:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; CA teaching credential preferred but not required
  • Experience in undergraduate college admissions, college counseling at the high school level, or other college-going related fields
  • Commitment to Gateway's mission and to the success of first-generation college bound students in particular
  • Bilingual and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
