Principal Responsibility
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role involves evaluating financial performance, developing forecasts and budgets, and providing insights for leadership to drive business growth and efficiency. In addition to core financial planning and analysis responsibilities, the Senior Financial Analyst supports revenue cycle reporting and initiatives and conducts financial analysis for new services and program feasibility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Administration and Operations
- Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain variances against forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions and investment opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership.
- Conduct scenario analysis and risk assessments to guide strategic initiatives.
- Improve financial processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy.
- Support executive presentations and board reporting materials.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations.
- Provide backup with general accounting duties, including, but not limited to, monthly close procedures, account reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, monthly investment activity, and creating and editing financial reports.
- Provide backup with accounts payable duties, including, but not limited to, collecting and tracking payments, running profit and loss reports, making bank deposits, distributing and processing invoices, and reconciling vendor statements.
- Complete accurate, thorough, and legible reports and documentation, and efficiently enter and retrieve required data and information using electronic database systems.
- Understand and follow the organization's programs, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to increase personal capacity to apply innovative approaches to daily workflows, service delivery, and position functions.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5-8 years' experience in financial analysis within an organization with at least 100 employees and $25M in annual expenditure.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and data analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial ERP systems and BI tools (preferred Tableau)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Extreme attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Courage to work with confidential documents and data, with appropriate discretion in sharing that data
- Initiative and ability to work independently with regular peer-interaction but minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills are required
- Ability to be polite, diplomatic, and firm. Can set limits and practice professional boundaries with guests, volunteers, donors, and coworkers
- Ability to be punctual, reliable, cooperative, and stay team-oriented.
- Experience working in a non-profit or community-based social service agency with people experiencing homelessness or poverty desired.
