What You Will Do

• Design and implement user-centric features from frontend to backend, ensuring quality and performance throughout the stack.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and fellow engineers to architect intuitive and scalable solutions.

• Own projects end-to-end — from concept and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Contribute to a modern, well-maintained codebase using tools like React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js.

• Drive quality and security best practices across the engineering lifecycle to maintain a high standard of reliability and safety.

• Work in a hybrid environment in NYC, with significant in-office collaboration alongside your team.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3–6 years of professional experience in software engineering, preferably in fast-paced, early-stage startups.

• Recent experience working with React and full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.

• Strong track record of building user-facing web products, especially in startup environments (Seed to Series B).

• Demonstrated ability to think like a builder or founder — you enjoy ownership and see products through from idea to execution.

• Experience contributing meaningfully to small engineering teams or startup founding teams.

Preferred

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, especially from a top program or relevant technical bootcamp.

• Previous experience at high-growth startups with complex product needs.

• Familiarity with modern technologies like React Query/Tanstack, tRPC, and responsive HTML/CSS.

• Deep understanding of secure development practices and building systems that prioritize privacy and data safety.

• 💵 Competitive base salary: $170,000 – $180,000
