One of our partner companies is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a high-impact team responsible for managing and scaling a fleet of AI-powered edge devices deployed across global transportation networks. You’ll lead the design and development of cloud services that ensure reliable, secure, and scalable operationsβ€”including remote device management, over-the-air updates, and infrastructure monitoring. This role requires deep technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for building innovative systems that make cities smarter and safer. Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud services for device observability, OTA updates, and fleet operations
  • Lead the improvement of AWS infrastructure reliability, security, and performance using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and secure code delivery
  • Set high standards for engineering best practices, including incident response, monitoring, and postmortems
  • Collaborate with hardware, product, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Drive architecture decisions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to long-term technical strategy
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing across the team


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in backend or cloud software engineering
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EKS, S3, SQS, RDS, Cognito, Lambda)
  • Proficient in Python or Go for developing production-quality services
  • Experience with relational, document, or time-series databases and writing performant SQL
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments
  • Proven ability to design and operate secure, scalable APIs and microservices
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of leading technical initiatives
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
