As a member of the Excess Casualty division of Everest Insurance, part of the Everest Re Group, Ltd., you will serve as a Senior Underwriter or AVP, Excess Casualty Underwriter for the Western Region. You’ll be based in either our San Francisco or Los Angeles office.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Market and underwrite Excess Casualty business

  • Identify exposures across a wide variety of business types

  • Analyze contracts

  • Adhere to underwriting rules and guidelines

  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers to facilitate a flow of desirable new business and maintain renewal business through quality service

  • Collaborate with other product lines to provide full product support to your clients

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or insurance certifications

  • At least 8 years of experience underwriting casualty business

  • Proven ability to generate profitable new business

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and computer skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • A customer-oriented approach

For California Only:
Your base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $205,000 annually. Your compensation will be based on your education, experience, qualifications, and work location. You’ll also have access to a variety of employee benefits, including health insurance, a wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
