What You Will Do

• Partner closely with Product and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Design and build systems end-to-end—spanning backend services, data pipelines, and user-facing components.

• Ship high-quality features at speed while maintaining clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape engineering best practices as the team scales.

• Collaborate in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment where your work has immediate impact.

• (For Senior Candidates) Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and technical leadership.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Proven experience in a fast-paced startup environment (early or growth stage preferred).

• Strong proficiency with Python, TypeScript, and AWS infrastructure.

• Experience designing and building production-grade systems end-to-end.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional partners.

• Ability to thrive in a high-velocity environment with evolving priorities.

• Interest in or exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries (preferred but not required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Background working with or adjacent to healthcare, life sciences, or compliance-driven applications.

• Familiarity with modern ML or NLP concepts.

• Experience building scalable distributed systems.

• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading major technical initiatives.

• Experience contributing to both backend and frontend systems in a full-stack capacity.

Compensation, Benefits & Other Details

• Base Salary: $125,000 – $260,000, depending on level and experience.

• Equity: Competitive equity packages available.

• Work Environment: Hybrid schedule with 4 days per week onsite in New York City.
