The company recently raised a $22M Series A from top-tier investors and has experienced significant growth over the past two years. With a small but highly experienced engineering team today, they are expanding rapidly and expect to grow the team significantly over the next year.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build scalable backend systems and distributed data pipelines that power AI-driven healthcare workflows.

• Architect and implement data ingestion and integration infrastructure to connect with diverse healthcare systems and external data sources.

• Build reliable systems that process large volumes of financial and healthcare data.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to improve customer onboarding speed and data reliability.

• Solve complex data interoperability challenges across healthcare platforms.

• Contribute to technical architecture decisions and help shape the company’s engineering roadmap and platform strategy.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design documentation to maintain high engineering standards.

• Work directly with internal teams and occasionally with customers to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer (senior or staff-level candidates encouraged to apply).

• Strong backend development experience using Python.

• Experience building distributed systems, data pipelines, or large-scale backend infrastructure.

• Background working at venture-backed startups or fast-moving technology companies.

• Experience designing and maintaining data ingestion pipelines or ETL workflows.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and autonomy.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across complex technical systems.

Preferred

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.

• Familiarity with healthcare data systems, interoperability standards, or revenue cycle management platforms.

• Experience integrating systems across multiple APIs or legacy platforms.

• Experience working in product-driven engineering teams that collaborate closely with customers.

• Background from high-performing technology companies or high-growth startups.

Compensation, Benefits, and Additional Details

• Base Salary: $180,000 – $280,000 depending on experience

• Equity: Early-stage equity package available

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the NYC office)
