About Us

Alembic is where top engineers are solving marketing's hardest problem: proving what actually works. If you're looking for frontier technical challenges at an applied science company, this is the place.

At Alembic, we're not just building software, we're decoding the chaos of modern marketing. Join Alembic to build trusted systems that Fortune 100 companies use to make multimillion dollar decisions.

We're backed by leading tech luminaries including WndrCo (founded by DreamWorks founder Jeffrey Katzenberg), Jensen Huang, Joe Montana, and many more.

About the Role
We're hiring a Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, and user-centric documentation and content that enables customers to understand Alembic's user experience, platform capabilities, and technological underpinnings. You will also produce customer training materials and thought leadership content to drive education and market credibility. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Revenue and is based in San Francisco (Onsite).

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for user experience, platform capabilities, and technical architecture

  • Produce high-quality user guides, tutorials, and reference materials

  • Create customer training materials and thought leadership content

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to gather and validate information

  • Establish a consistent voice, style, and structure aligned with brand standards

  • Continuously improve documentation based on user feedback and product evolution

What Will Help You Succeed

  • 3-5 years as a Technical Writer in B2B software or technology companies

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation

  • Strong understanding of data, cloud, or AI technologies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams

  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, and Markdown

  • Organisational and time management skills

  • Experience documenting data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI solutions

  • Startup or high-growth technical communication experience

  • Experience creating visual aids such as diagrams and process flows

  • Understanding of customer onboarding and enablement needs

  • Familiarity with Python or scripting languages

  • Experience working with marketing customers

  • Previous startup experience

  • Formal technical training or certifications in data, cloud, or AI

The role is right for you if:

  • You're an experienced technical writer ready to document cutting-edge AI technology. This role offers the opportunity to create foundational content that enables Fortune 500 marketing teams to understand and adopt breakthrough technology.

  • You want to build something that is both technically challenging and solves a real customer need. You want a role with major upside that tackles a massive market opportunity.

Why You Might Be Excited About Alembic

  • Complex strategic challenges: You'll document breakthrough technology that's solving marketing's hardest problem - proving causation vs correlation for Fortune 100 companies

  • Category creation opportunity: You're not documenting features - you're defining an entirely new category with 10-100x performance advantages

  • Technical innovation story: You get to tell the story of GPU acceleration breakthroughs that make industry veterans stop and ask "how did you do that?"

  • Build from the ground up: Early-stage equity opportunity where you'll define our documentation standards, knowledge base, and customer education approach

Why You Might Not Be Excited

  • You prefer documenting established products with proven content frameworks over defining new category positioning

  • You want fully built-out documentation processes rather than creating frameworks and systems from scratch

  • You prefer static documentation over dynamic content that adapts based on market feedback and learning
