Summary


The U.S Market Business Development & Sales Manager will drive potential revenue growth by establishing the relationship and obtaining the distribution agreement with the key suppliers, identifying business opportunities, managing customer relationships, executing sales strategies and achieving sales goals for Space and Defense sectors in U.S market. 


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Key supplier relationship development and distribution agreement establishment: Work independently or with NASAM Sr. Business Development manager and AllClear Business Development stakeholders to obtain the distribution agreement from the key electronic components or module suppliers who provide the technologies and products for Space or Defense applications. 
  • Business growth & strategy: Identify new market opportunities, develop, and execute strategic plans for revenue & booking growth in the Space and Defense sector. 
  • Customer relationship Management: Build and maintain relationship with key Space and Defense application      manufacturers, government agencies.
  • Sales pipeline and forecasting: Manage the sales funnel, CRM data, and provide regular base (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) sales forecast.
  • RFQ and order management: Prepare RFQ proposals and win the orders to achieve both revenue and profitability targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and new program within the US Space and Defense markets.
  • Collaboration: Work with Business Development, Sales, QA, and finance teams to align product capabilities with customer needs. 
  • Business trips / Meeting coordination: Create Agenda/Minutes/Strategic Actions
  • Reporting to management:
    • Business travel – reason for trip and report on results
    • Monthly sales forecasts, annual business plan (or more frequent as necessary)
    • Weekly report of daily tasks

Supervisory Responsibilities


There will be no supervisory responsibilities immediately required for this position at the timing of hiring though it will be considered afterwards based on the management capability, skill set and mind of candidate.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Space, Defense, or relevant manufacturing business development and sales
  • Familiarity with MIL-Spec is a plus
  • Experience with electronic component sales and business development
  • Electronic component engineering background is a plus
  • Strong experience in responding to government or commercial proposals in Space or Defense market is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
  • Experience with ERP highly desired – Salesforce, Quantum a plus

Language Skills

  • Native in English
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers

Mathematical Skills

  • Above average
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Salary Description
$120,000 - $150,000 DOE
