Why are We Hiring for this Role

  • You will lead the design, prototyping, and integration of advanced mechanical and electromechanical systems that replicate the fine motor skills of the human hand. Your work will directly contribute to building the next generation of humanoid robots with lifelike dexterity and responsiveness.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for humanoid hands and fingers, including actuators, joints, sensors, linkages, and control systems.
  • Integrate motors, servos, gears, sensors, and custom PCBs into compact, human-like form factors while ensuring durability and smooth operation.
  • Work closely with electrical and software engineers to develop closed-loop control systems for precision grasping, manipulation, and tactile feedback.
  • Conduct kinematic and dynamic modeling to optimize movement range, torque, and force distribution.
  • Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) to create detailed part and assembly models.
  • Rapidly prototype components using 3D printing, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing methods.
  • Perform testing and validation of finger/hand performance under various load and environmental conditions.
  • Support system integration with the full humanoid platform, ensuring compatibility and performance alignment.
  • Document all design work, revisions, and test results clearly and comprehensively.

What Kind of Person are We Looking for

  • Deep understanding of servo motor systems, linkages, tendons, and sensor integration.
  • Familiarity with control systems, including PID tuning and real-time embedded systems.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD design, finite element analysis (FEA), and prototyping tools.
  • Strong experience with soft robotics, flexible actuators, or biomimetic systems.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or computer vision applications in manipulation.
  • Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) or other robotics frameworks.
  • Experience with force sensing, tactile feedback, or compliant mechanisms is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced R&D environment with iterative design cycles.
  • Passion for humanoid robotics, biomechanics, or prosthetics is strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical EngineeringΒ  Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field. PhD Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in robotics or electromechanical system design, preferably in human-interactive or bionic applications.
