Boutique complex litigation firm in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join their team. The ideal candidate with have at least 5 years of extensive litigation legal secretary experience.
Litigation Legal Secretary responsibilities include:
Preparing, revising, and formatting legal documents
Creating shell documents for pleadings
Managing cases from start-to-finish
Proficient with State and federal court filingsΒ
Scheduling court calls, appearances, hearings and depositions
Preparing expense reports, travel arrangements as well as attorney billing
Requirements of the Legal Secretary role include:
5+ years of experience as a litigation legal secretary
Litigation experience in California state and federal court
Understanding of local rules of court, state and federal rules of procedures.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and ideally experienced with NetDocuments
Knowledge of e-filing is a must
Strong knowledge of filing deadlines
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Successful candidates for the Legal Secretary role are professional and courteous with a positive attitude.
