Boutique litigation firm specializing in representing plaintiffs' in individual and mass torts, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their dedicated team. This role requires a self-starter with 3 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably involving complex cases such as residential fire losses and catastrophic injuries. You'll play a pivotal part in supporting attorneys and clients with compassion, precision, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage discovery, subpoenas, pleadings, and correspondence
- Assist with trial preparation including exhibits, witness lists, and case organization
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, experts, and court staff
- Maintain case files and track deadlines and court dates
- Investigate facts and gather evidence relevant to fire-related and injury cases
- Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, and trials
- Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other key documents
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent education/experience
- 3β5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury
- Prior experience handling complex cases, especially involving property damage and fire-related claims, is highly desirable
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in legal software and case management tools
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
