About the Company

The client is a $100M+ funded neobank transforming consumer and business finance in Mexico and Latin America. Founded by the team behind a private credit fund with a decade of lending to Latin American fintechs, it is building consumer and business banking, point-of-sale lending and merchant tools.

The Role

The client is hiring a Senior AI Engineer (3-5+ years) to build agentic AI experiences that help consumers and businesses manage their financial lives. As one of the first engineers in San Francisco, you will own AI agents end to end, from ideation to deployment, and help shape the product and engineering culture.

What You Will Do

  • Build and ship a WhatsApp-based agentic financial assistant that helps consumers apply for loans, manage payments and navigate financial products in real time.
  • Own AI agents end to end, including UX, architecture, evaluations, monitoring and safeguards.
  • Design RAG pipelines and agentic workflows that automate multi-step financial processes.
  • Work across the full stack for consumer and merchant-facing products.
  • Shape agentic software development practices as an early member of the team.

What You Bring

  • 3-5+ years as a full-stack or AI engineer
  • Production experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines and agentic frameworks
  • Strong TypeScript and modern web frameworks
  • End-to-end ownership of shipped features

Nice to Have

  • Fintech or consumer finance experience
  • WhatsApp or messaging-platform integrations
  • Spanish language skills
