Orchard Robotics is building the AI farmer — autonomous systems that help America's farms operate more profitably and sustainably than ever before. The company starts with AI-powered camera systems that collect the most valuable data for farmers, telling them everything about what is growing across millions of trees, vines, and plants on thousands of acres of farmland.
The platform, FruitScope OS, analyzes every piece of fruit across a farm — delivering accurate yield estimates, fruit counts, size projections, disease detection, bloom maps, and more. Today, Orchard's technology is trusted by some of the largest farms in the nation. Farmers use it every day to make critical decisions and run more efficient operations.
Orchard Robotics is a Series A company backed by Quiet Capital, Shine Capital, and General Catalyst, with over $25 million raised. The team is small, close-knit, and deeply motivated by the impact of the work — every system built means less food wasted and more people fed.
The Opportunity
To analyze billions of fruit on farms year-round, Orchard's tractor-mounted camera systems need to know precisely where they are and everything about what they are seeing. That is the core challenge this role owns.
Orchard is looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to invent practical, robust solutions to real-world perception and localization problems. You will work directly with the CEO and the full team as an early employee, with high ownership over your work and direct visibility into the impact it creates. The environment is fast-moving and hands-on — this is a role for someone who wants to build, not coordinate.
