ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To load, unload, and transport cargo to and from customer locations and airport.
Maintain telephone contact with dispatcher to receive instructions.
Neatly complete bill of ladings and MAWB’s (Master Airway Bill) for airlines in order to tender freight.
Maintain driver logbook and daily vehicle inspection report according to I.C.C regulations.
Interact daily with customers.
Sit, stand, climb, lift 50 lbs. Must be able to load cargo weighing in excess of 1000 lbs with the assistance of a pallet jack
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma
3 years commercial driving experience
Must hold valid Commercial Driver’s License and must hold active medical card. Must be able to operate a truck with a capacity of 26,000 plus pounds gross vehicle weight.
Ability to operate handheld computer / cellular telephone. Time management, processing paperwork
Must have basic knowledge of computers and email. The ability to operate handheld device used to communicate shipment information
