What You Will Do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript to support high-volume SMS communications.
• Leverage AWS services (SQS, EC2, S3, DynamoDB) to build and maintain robust infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive architectural decisions that enhance performance and reliability.
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks, ensuring low-latency and high-availability systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence the technical direction of the team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Contribute to the integration of AI technologies, enhancing product capabilities and user experience.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 4+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong focus on Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems capable of handling millions of events.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services, demonstrating a strong command in cloud architecture.
• Experience in shipping production code quickly while maintaining high reliability and performance.
• A proactive approach to improving infrastructure and developer velocity, with a clear understanding of trade-offs in architecture decisions.

Preferred

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and AI/LLM integrations.
• Experience in a high-velocity SaaS or AI infrastructure startup environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

Compensation and Benefits
